Warning!!

Do not, I repeat, do not mention anything about the trip home for Thanksgiving on my facebook page. My mom has access to that and checks it, and recently I have become paranoid about her finding out about the trip. Comment all you want here on the blog, but not on facebook. Can't wait to see everyone!!!!!!

So, maybe I'm a little slow. Are you surprising your mom or hiding from her?

i was wondering the same thing...care to give any details?

You realize, though, that your Facebook info section has this blog linked. Are you assuming your mom wouldn't check that page? Or have you adjusted your privacy settings to prevent her from seeing that?

We have lots of questions.

Questions answered:

Sadly, even though there's a link, I don't think my mom has seen it and I may remove it now before the holiday, just in case. She would have commented or at least told me if she saw it. Secondly, regarding the hiding or surprising question, surprising is the answer, unlike other times I've come back to Baltimore and not told her. Arlo and I are leaving the day before and hoping to be there by late morning/early afternoon on Thanksgiving. We will be staying until Sunday, so not terribly long, but it will be so great to visit. I would like to pop by and see as many people as possible and maybe even all go out for dinner or drinks or something. It's tough, as we will be existing as nomads and so there's no way to invite people over. We'll be staying with my mom, who obviously doesn't know this yet, but if it's a problem, Bill and Amanda said we could stay with them.
And now I have some questions for y'all...
1. Phay, are you coming home for either Thanksgiving or Christmas?
2. Would it be possible to get together as a large group, or should I plan on seeing everyone in smaller groups/individually?
3. Jess, did you get a chance to do Madre's gift and did I ever pay you? I get the feeling that after the paypal debacle, I didn't and want to correct that if so.

That's fun! I hope she's not planning a trip out to surprise you! :)

As for a get together - Kevin, Natty, and I can host if you need a location. The only caveat would be that it would need to be Friday or Saturday and it can't be an all night event since Natty isn't so big on the whole sleeping through the night thing... He goes down around 7 and is a pretty sound sleeper, but we would probably want everyone out around 9 or 10. Call or e-mail to discuss if you're interested since I'm not very good at checking the blog.

I'll have to double check, but I don't recall receiving payment from you for Madre's gift. I have not bought it yet (or cashed anyone's checks - sorry) since I haven't been able to get on her calendar...

Jen, maybe an email thread going around to everyone discussing your turkey day plans would be good? You are welcome to stay with us as many days as you need that weekend.

We are also happy to have everyone over (Jess, Kevin, Andrej, Wendy, etc.) for games or something, if you'd want to hang out in a non-bar area. I know it's going to be hard to see everyone that weekend, so maybe we can figure out a day that works for most and all hang out.

Ignore prior emails. No one is invited. I will be armed and am a surprisingly accurate shot.

This is your final warning. Everyone but Arlo will be considered a trespasser.

My mom recently tried to friend me on Facebook. I suppose I've got to friend her back. Fortunately my blog isn't linked anywhere, and I think she would check.
